Developed and led four conferences in Bulgaria by four American librarians speaking on topics as far ranging as copyright, library service in a tourist community, care of rare books, access to government information through libraries, lobbying government for support, and organizing a summer reading program for children

Project Director for ABLE (American/Bulgaria Library Exchange) project:

In cooperation with IRIS (Iowa Resources for International Service) received a $200,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education to partner 18 Bulgarian libraries with libraries in Colorado and Iowa
Co-author of Community Based Librarianship: A Manual and Planning Tools published in both English and Bulgarian (available upon request). Chapters include:
