Nancy Bolt has extensive experience in the international field. She has been chair of the International Relations Round Table of the American Library Association. She is currently a member of the Governing Board of the International Federation of Library Association (IFLA). In IFLA, she is also the Chair of the Government Libraries Section and the Special Libraries Division.
As a consultant, Nancy has conducted the following workshops:

Nancy was also the creator of the Colorado/Bulgarian Library Project. This project subsequently received a grant of $300,000 from the U.S. Department of Education for the American Bulgarian Library Exchange (ABLE) Project. This grant involved bringing 18 Bulgarian librarians to the U.S. for 5 weeks; taking 18 American librarians to Bulgaria for 2 weeks; training in becoming a community information center; a web site to support Bulgarian librarians; and publicity about the project to improve the image of Bulgarian public libraries. As part of this project, Bolt wrote and partly edited: Community Information Centers which was published in Bulgarian.
Nancy understands the importance of multi-cultural understanding and is prepared to train international librarians and facilitate international meetings.
